VAGINAPLASTY

What is vaginaplasty?

Vaginaplasty is the surgical treatment of the vagina. We offer vaginaplasty to improve ‘looseness’ or a loose appearance of the outer lips of the vagina, as well as for improved tightness of the vagina in select cases.

When is vaginaplasty needed?

Surgery is sometimes indicated after Thermiva or other non surgical methods have been used, or for problems that appear too severe for non surgical methods at the outset after evaluation by Dr. Thaker.

Is vaginaplasty painful?

Vaginaplasty is done by Dr Thaker with local injections to control pain using very small needles.  The injections we use may include field blocks, nerve blocks or others for excellent pain control. 

With an alert and comfortable patient the risk of ‘going under’ a general anesthetic or IV sedation are avoided, which can maximize safety and comfort for the patient.
